Apple iOS 18’s AI Features to be Dubbed ‘Apple Intelligence’

According to Apple analyst Mark Gurman, Apple is planning to introduce a suite of new AI-powered features in iOS 18, which are said to be collectively referred to as “Apple Intelligence.”

The most notable of these features is a new AI-powered assistant that will be integrated throughout the operating system. This assistant will be able to handle a wide range of tasks, such as scheduling appointments, making restaurant reservations, and answering questions.

Apple Intelligence will also bring new AI-powered features to the camera app. These features will include improved object recognition, facial recognition, and scene detection. The camera app will also be able to generate automated edits and effects, making it easier for users to create professional-looking photos and videos.

In addition to these new features, Apple Intelligence is also expected to improve the performance of existing AI-powered features in iOS. For example, the Siri voice assistant is expected to become more accurate and responsive.

Apple is expected to announce iOS 18 at its annual WWDC conference in June. The new operating system is expected to be released to the public later this year.
