The BJP emerged victorious in the recently concluded state elections, winning 22 out of 24 Lok Sabha seats and securing a comfortable majority in the Assembly, with 82 seats out of 147.

The party’s president, Amit Shah, has been holding consultations with senior leaders in Delhi and Odisha to finalize the list of Cabinet ministers and decide on the next Chief Minister. Several names have been doing the rounds, including that of former Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and incumbent Health Minister Naba Kishore Das.

The BJP’s choice for Chief Minister will be crucial as the party looks to consolidate its position in the state and prepare for the upcoming national elections. The new leader will also have the task of addressing the key issues facing Odisha, such as poverty, unemployment, and infrastructural development.

The swearing-in ceremony will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other senior BJP leaders. It is expected to be a grand affair, showcasing the BJP’s dominance in Odisha and setting the tone for its future governance.
