Bangladesh’s Sakib Al Hasan Punished for Inappropriate Contact with Nepal Captain During T20 World Cup

Bangladesh all-rounder Sakib Al Hasan has been handed a one-match suspension and fined for “inappropriate physical contact” with Nepal captain Rohit Paudel during a T20 World Cup match on October 30th, 2023.

Sakib was subsequently fined 50% of his match fee, and he will miss Bangladesh’s crucial match against the Netherlands on November 1st.
