The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has successfully outmaneuvered the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in the recent political game in Andhra Pradesh. After TDP withdrew its support from the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government at the Centre, the BJP swiftly moved to placate other regional parties, such as the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP).

However, the BJP’s victory is only partial. TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu remains a formidable force in Andhra Pradesh politics, and his demands for special status for the state and other concessions are still on the table.
