CARE Hospitals, Hitec City Organizes Awareness Walkathon with Brain Tumour Survivors

CARE Hospitals, Hitec City recently organized an Awareness Walkathon with brain tumour survivors to raise awareness about brain tumours and the importance of early detection and treatment.

The walkathon was flagged off by Dr. Ravi Shankar, Senior Consultant Neurosurgeon, CARE Hospitals, Hitec City. The walkathon saw participation from over 100 people, including survivors, their families, and healthcare professionals.

The walkathon route covered a distance of 3 kilometers and passed through the busy streets of Hitec City. Along the way, participants carried placards and distributed leaflets to passersby, spreading awareness about brain tumours.

Dr. Ravi Shankar said, “Brain tumours are one of the most common types of cancer in India, and they can affect people of all ages. However, early detection and treatment can significantly improve the chances of survival. This walkathon was organized to raise awareness about brain tumours and to encourage people to get screened if they have any symptoms.”
