Chandrababu Naidu Sworn In as Andhra Pradesh CM, Pawan Kalyan Takes Oath as Minister

Hyderabad, June 8th: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) supremo Chandrababu Naidu took oath as the 14th Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh at a grand ceremony held at Guntur’s Mangalagiri Stadium. Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan administered the oath of office and secrecy to Naidu, who led the TDP to a landslide victory in the recent Assembly elections.

Along with Naidu, Jana Sena chief and popular actor Pawan Kalyan took oath as the Minister for Power, Irrigation, and IT. Kalyan’s induction into the cabinet is seen as a significant move, as it marks the first time he has held a ministerial position.

The swearing-in ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, and several other dignitaries. Naidu thanked the people of Andhra Pradesh for their trust and vowed to work tirelessly for the development of the state.

“My government will focus on providing good governance, ensuring social justice, and creating opportunities for all,” Naidu said in his address.

Kalyan expressed his gratitude to Naidu for the opportunity to serve the state and pledged to dedicate himself to the welfare of the people.

The TDP-Jana Sena alliance won 104 seats in the 175-member Assembly, securing a comfortable majority. The YSR Congress Party, led by Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy, emerged as the main opposition, winning 67 seats.

Naidu’s swearing-in marks the beginning of a new chapter for Andhra Pradesh, which has been facing a number of challenges, including financial instability and regional tensions. It is expected that Naidu’s government will prioritize economic development, infrastructure projects, and social welfare programs.
