New Delhi: The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the Janata Dal (United) (JDU) are likely to get a total of six ministerial berths in the Modi 3.0 government, sources said on Tuesday.

According to the sources, the TDP is likely to get four ministers, while the JDU will get two. The names of the ministers from both parties are yet to be finalized.

The TDP, which had walked out of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in March this year, has been negotiating with the BJP for a possible return to the alliance. The JDU, on the other hand, has been a part of the NDA since 2017.

The induction of ministers from the TDP and the JDU will help the BJP expand its support base in the southern and eastern parts of the country. The TDP has a strong presence in Andhra Pradesh, while the JDU has a significant support base in Bihar.

The Modi 3.0 government is expected to be sworn in on May 30. The BJP has won a landslide victory in the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections, winning 303 seats on its own. The party has also received support from its allies, which has given it a comfortable majority in the Lok Sabha.
