New Delhi, India – Leaders of the Indian National Congress (Cong) and other allies of the India Bloc have confirmed their attendance at the upcoming swearing-in ceremony for Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The ceremony, scheduled for May 30, will take place at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, the official residence of the President of India. Modi, who led his Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to a resounding victory in the recent general elections, will be sworn in for a second term.

Cong President Rahul Gandhi and former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh are among the high-profile Cong leaders who have accepted invitations to attend the event. Other leaders from India Bloc member parties, including the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), will also be present.

The India Bloc is a coalition of opposition parties that was formed in advance of the general elections. While the bloc failed to unseat the BJP, it did succeed in winning a significant number of seats in Parliament.

The attendance of Cong and India Bloc leaders at Modi’s swearing-in ceremony is seen as a gesture of reconciliation and a sign of respect for the democratic process. It also underscores the important role that the opposition plays in India’s parliamentary system.

Prime Minister Modi is expected to deliver a speech at the ceremony outlining his vision for India’s future. He is also likely to announce the members of his new cabinet.
