CWC Meeting: Public Voices Rise Against Dictatorship and Anti-Incumbency

At a recently concluded Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting, senior leaders of the Indian National Congress (INC) expressed deep concern over the growing trend of dictatorial and anti-incumbency sentiments among the public.

Several members raised alarms about the erosion of democratic values and the suppression of dissent under the present regime. They cited instances of arbitrary arrests, attacks on journalists, and interference in the judiciary as evidence of a systematic assault on the fundamental rights of citizens.

The CWC also discussed the rising anti-incumbency sentiments against the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Leaders attributed this to the government’s failure to address economic distress, unemployment, and social inequities. They emphasized the need for the INC to articulate a clear alternative vision and offer hope to the people.

Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi, in his address, stressed the importance of respecting and listening to the voices of the people. He urged party members to engage in genuine dialogue with citizens and to address their concerns.

“The people have spoken against dictatorial tendencies and anti-incumbency. As the INC, we have a duty to respond to their aspirations and provide them with a better future,” Gandhi said.

The CWC meeting concluded with a resolution to intensify the party’s outreach efforts, strengthen its grassroots organization, and develop a comprehensive electoral strategy to challenge the BJP’s dominance.
