Election Results WATCH LIVE: ‘Cong’s Tally in Last 3 Lok Sabha Polls Less Than BJP’s 2024 Tally Alone,’ PM Modi Says

The Quint

In a fiery speech at the BJP’s national executive meeting in New Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a dig at the Congress, stating that its tally in the last three Lok Sabha polls combined was less than what the BJP is projected to win in the 2024 elections alone.

“The Congress, which has been in power for decades, has been reduced to such a state that its tally in the last three Lok Sabha polls is less than what we are projected to win in 2024 on our own,” said Modi.

This comes as various opinion polls predict a clear victory for the BJP in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The Times Now-ETG poll, for instance, projects the BJP-led NDA to win 290-308 seats, while the Congress-led UPA is expected to win only 105-125 seats.
