Even Curator Isn’t Sure How Pitch Will Behave’: Rohit Sharma Ahead of India vs Pakistan T20 World Cup Clash

Indian captain Rohit Sharma has expressed uncertainty about how the pitch at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) will play ahead of the highly-anticipated clash against Pakistan in the T20 World Cup on Sunday.

During the pre-match press conference, Sharma said, “Even the curator isn’t sure how the pitch will behave. It’s a bit of a difficult one to predict.”

The MCG has a reputation for being a high-scoring ground, but recent matches have shown that it can also produce unpredictable results.

“It’s not a haven for batters where you can come and score 200 every time,” Sharma added. “It’s a good pitch, it’s a sporting pitch, and it gives something to the bowlers as well.”

India and Pakistan will face off in their opening match of the tournament, which is expected to be a close contest. Both teams have a strong batting lineup, but India has a slight edge in the bowling department.

“We know Pakistan is a very good side,” said Sharma. “They have some quality players, and they always play well against us.”

The match will be played under lights, which could add an extra dimension to the game.

“The lights might come into play a little bit,” said Sharma. “It’s going to be a great contest, and we’re looking forward to it.”
