Farida Jalal Opens Up About Yash Chopra’s and Karan Johar’s ‘Wrongdoings’

Veteran actress Farida Jalal has expressed her disappointment and hurt over past actions by renowned filmmakers Yash Chopra and Karan Johar.

Yash Chopra’s Disrespect

Jalal revealed that Chopra, known for his iconic love stories, had once made her feel deeply disrespected. She declined to provide specifics but said the incident had left a lasting impact on her. “I respect him immensely as a filmmaker, but what he did hurt me terribly,” she said.

Karan Johar’s Promise

Jalal also spoke about an unfulfilled promise made by Johar. According to her, Johar had assured her a significant role in a film, but the part was given to someone else. “I was deeply saddened because I had believed him,” she said.

Acknowledging the Wrong

Jalal revealed that Johar has since acknowledged his wrongdoing. “He told me, ‘Farida ji, I know I wronged you.’ I appreciate his honesty, but it doesn’t erase the pain,” she said.

The actress confessed that the wounds inflicted by Chopra and Johar continue to linger. “It’s a deep wound. I don’t want to hold a grudge, but it’s hard to forget,” she said.
