Veteran actress Farida Jalal recently underwent shoulder surgery and revealed that Shah Rukh Khan had been a pillar of support during her recovery.

Jalal shared that Khan had reached out to her and inquired about her well-being after the surgery. “He’s a very sweet boy,” she said. “He called me after my shoulder surgery and asked, ‘Aunty, how are you doing?’ I said, ‘Shah Rukh, I’m fine.’”

However, Jalal expressed some disappointment that Khan’s attentiveness had waned since then. “But now when I call him, he doesn’t pick up my phone,” she joked.

Despite the playful remark, Jalal emphasized that she cherished her decades-long friendship with Khan. “I’ve known him since he was a child,” she said. “He’s a great actor and a wonderful person.”

Jalal also shared her pride in Khan’s journey and success in the film industry. “I’m so happy for him,” she said. “He deserves all the accolades he’s received.”
