First-Time MP Murlidhar Mohol to Take Oath as Minister in Modi 3.0

New Delhi, July 7: Murlidhar Mohol, the first-time Member of Parliament (MP) from Pune, is set to take oath as a minister in the Modi 3.0 government on July 7, 2021.

Mohol, a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), defeated NCP’s Mohan Joshi in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. He has been a prominent figure in the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and played a key role in the party’s campaign in the Pune region.

As a minister, Mohol is expected to be given a portfolio related to Agriculture or Rural Development, areas that he has actively worked in during his political career. He has been a strong advocate for farmers’ rights and has worked to improve agricultural infrastructure in his constituency.

Mohol’s appointment as a minister is seen as a significant move by the BJP to strengthen its presence in Maharashtra. He is expected to play a crucial role in the party’s efforts to retain power in the state in the upcoming assembly elections.
