Four Indian Medical Students Drown in Russia
Moscow, Russia – Four Indian medical students drowned in a lake in Russia’s Sverdlovsk Oblast on July 29, 2023.
The deceased students were identified as 20-year-old Abhishek Kumar, 21-year-old Arvind Kumar, 22-year-old Garima Mishra, and 22-year-old Sakshi Vijay.
According to reports, the students were part of a group of 10 Indian students who were on a day trip to Lake Turgoyak. They were swimming in the lake when they encountered strong currents.
The Indian Embassy in Moscow is working closely with Russian authorities to investigate the incident. The embassy has also dispatched a team of officials to provide assistance to the families of the deceased.
The deaths of the four Indian students have shocked the Indian community in Russia. The embassy has urged all Indian students in Russia to exercise caution while swimming in lakes and rivers.
