Harbhajan Singh Wants Gary Kirsten Back: “Don’t Waste Your Time in Pakistan”

Former Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh has thrown his weight behind the idea of Gary Kirsten returning as Team India’s coach. Singh, known for his outspoken nature, urged Kirsten to consider the offer, emphasizing that he shouldn’t “waste his time” in Pakistan, where he is currently the head coach.

Kirsten’s success as India’s coach from 2008-2011 is well-documented. He guided the team to the 2011 World Cup victory and established a strong foundation for future success.

Singh believes Kirsten’s experience and winning mentality would be invaluable to the current Indian team, which is facing challenges in their bid to reclaim the top spot in world cricket. “Gary has a proven track record with India and knows the team inside out,” stated Singh, adding, “He can bring back the winning spirit and instill confidence in the players.”

While the current Indian coach, Rahul Dravid, has been credited with building a strong team culture, recent performances, especially in Test matches, have raised questions about the team’s ability to convert strong performances into wins.

Whether Kirsten will return to India remains uncertain, but Harbhajan Singh’s call for his return highlights the desire for a successful coach to guide the team towards future victories.
