Haryana Withholds Delhi’s Water Share through Munak Canal

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Atishi has accused the Haryana government of withholding Delhi’s share of 1,050 cusecs of water through the Munak canal.

According to Atishi, this action is causing a water shortage in several parts of Delhi, including Rohini, Bawana, Sultanpuri, and Narela. She states that Delhi has been receiving only 300 cusecs of water daily instead of the designated 1,350 cusecs.

Atishi has urged the Central government to intervene and ensure the release of Delhi’s water share. She has also written a letter to the Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal Khattar, requesting his immediate attention to the matter.

The Haryana government has not yet commented on the allegations. However, Atishi has warned that if the situation is not resolved soon, it could lead to a major water crisis in Delhi.
