INDIA Bloc’s ‘Historic Win’ Restricts BJP to 240 Seats: MK Stalin

Chennai, [Date] – Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has hailed the performance of the INDIA bloc in the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections, calling it a “historic win”. He attributed the bloc’s success to the strong anti-incumbency sentiment against the ruling BJP, which saw its seats reduced to 240.

Stalin, who is also the president of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), said the INDIA bloc’s victory was a “victory for democracy” and a “rejection of the BJP’s divisive politics”. He also credited the coalition’s success to its “strong and united front” against the BJP.

“The people of India have spoken. They have rejected the BJP’s divisive agenda and its attempts to polarize the country,” Stalin said in a statement. “This is a historic win for the INDIA bloc and a victory for democracy.”

The INDIA bloc, a coalition of 26 opposition parties, had campaigned on a platform of unity and inclusivity. The alliance, which included the Congress, the DMK, the Trinamool Congress, and the Samajwadi Party, among others, aimed to defeat the BJP and its allies in the Lok Sabha elections.
