Dubai, UAE – Emirates Chief Commercial Officer Adnan Kazim has emphasized the need for India’s aviation market growth to be met with increased capacity and openness to partnerships.

“India is a critical market for Emirates, and we have seen tremendous growth in our operations over the past few years,” Kazim said. “However, the market is growing faster than expected, and there is a need for additional capacity to meet the demand.”

According to Emirates, India is the airline’s largest market outside its home base in Dubai. The airline currently operates over 170 flights per week to 11 cities in India.

Kazim said that Emirates is open to exploring partnerships with Indian airlines to increase its capacity and connectivity. “We have a long history of successful partnerships with airlines around the world, and we are confident that we can find mutually beneficial solutions with Indian carriers,” he said.

Emirates is not the only airline that is looking to expand its operations in India. Several other international and domestic airlines have also announced plans to increase their capacity in the Indian market.

The growth of India’s aviation market is being driven by a number of factors, including the country’s rapidly growing economy and population. India is expected to become the world’s third-largest aviation market by 2030, behind China and the United States.

However, the growth of the Indian aviation market has also been constrained by a number of factors, including infrastructure bottlenecks and regulatory hurdles. The government of India is working to address these challenges, but it is clear that more needs to be done to support the growth of the aviation sector.

Emirates is confident that the Indian aviation market has the potential to continue to grow in the coming years. “We are committed to working with our partners in India to help realise the full potential of this market,” Kazim said.
