Karnataka Home Minister Dr. G. Parameshwara has urged former Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa to appear before the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) soon in connection with a POCSO case.

Speaking to reporters on Monday, Parameshwara emphasized the need for a speedy and thorough investigation. He stated that while the CID is conducting the investigation independently, it is essential for Yediyurappa to cooperate fully.

“It would be good if he appears before the CID soon,” Parameshwara said, adding that this would facilitate the investigation process and ensure a fair outcome.

The POCSO case revolves around alleged sexual harassment of a minor girl. While Yediyurappa has denied any involvement, the CID is conducting a comprehensive investigation.

Parameshwara’s statement comes amidst growing public pressure for a transparent and impartial investigation. The Home Minister has assured the public that the investigation will be conducted with utmost professionalism and that no one will be spared if found guilty.
