KCR Accuses Inquiry Commission of Bias, Demands Fair Probe (Inquiry Commission, Bias, KCR, Allegations, Fair Probe)

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) has accused the inquiry commission probing the recent incidents of violence in the state of conducting a biased investigation. Addressing a public meeting, KCR alleged that the commission, set up by the Central government, is “biased” and “unfair” towards the state government.

He claimed that the commission is “only interested in collecting evidence that supports the allegations against the Telangana government”, while ignoring the “real culprits” behind the violence. KCR reiterated his demand for a “fair and impartial” probe into the incidents, which he blamed on “external forces”.

The allegations come amid growing tension between the state and the central governments over the handling of the violence. KCR has been critical of the Centre’s “lack of support” and “interference” in the state’s affairs.

He further accused the commission of “trying to create a narrative” that “pitted the state government against the central government”, which he claims is “unacceptable”. KCR demanded that the commission “reconsider its approach” and “focus on finding the truth” rather than “politically motivated agenda”.

The commission, headed by a retired judge, has been tasked with investigating the recent incidents of violence that took place in the state. The violence, which erupted over a range of issues, led to widespread damage and unrest, prompting the state government to deploy security forces.

KCR’s strong criticism of the inquiry commission is likely to further escalate the tension between the state and the centre. It remains to be seen how the commission will respond to these allegations and whether it will impact the ongoing investigation.
