Modi Govt 3.0: BJP State Chief Kishan Reddy, Bandi Sanjay Kumar to Join Union Cabinet

New Delhi: In a significant move, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has nominated two key leaders from Telangana for ministerial positions in the Modi government 3.0. Telangana BJP state chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar and former union minister Kishan Reddy are set to be inducted into the Union cabinet.

Kishan Reddy, who served as the Union Minister of State for Home Affairs in the previous Modi government, is expected to be elevated to a Cabinet-level position. He is known for his vast administrative experience and is considered a close confidant of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Bandi Sanjay Kumar, on the other hand, is a firebrand leader who has been at the forefront of the BJP’s political campaigns in Telangana. He is the party’s state president and has been instrumental in building the BJP’s base in the state.

The inclusion of these two leaders in the Union cabinet is seen as a strategic move by the BJP to strengthen its presence in Telangana. The party has emerged as a strong opposition to the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government led by K. Chandrashekar Rao.

Sources within the BJP indicate that Reddy is likely to be given a key portfolio related to infrastructure or urban development, while Kumar may be entrusted with a position in the Ministry of Social Justice or the Ministry of Tribal Affairs.

The swearing-in ceremony for the new Union ministers is expected to take place later this week. Their induction will bring fresh blood into the Modi government and is likely to boost the party’s prospects in Telangana.
