Neerabh is the New Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh

Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh – Neerabh Kumar Prasad, a 1985-batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the new Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh.

Mr. Prasad, who hails from Bihar, has held several important positions in the state and central governments. He has served as the Principal Secretary of the Finance and Revenue Departments in Andhra Pradesh, and as the Special Chief Secretary of the Finance Department in Bihar.

Mr. Prasad is known for his expertise in financial management and administration. He has played a key role in implementing several reforms in Andhra Pradesh, including the implementation of the Goods and Services Tax (GST).

His appointment comes at a time when the state is facing several challenges, including a large fiscal deficit and a high debt burden. Mr. Prasad is expected to use his expertise to guide the state through these difficult times.

Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy congratulated Mr. Prasad on his appointment and expressed confidence that he would lead the state administration with distinction.
