Hyderabad, April 11: In a significant administrative reshuffle, senior IAS officer Neerabh Kumar Prasad has been appointed as the new Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh.

Prasad, a 1990-batch IAS officer, succeeds Aditya Nath Das, who retired on April 10. He had previously served as the Special Chief Secretary for Industries and Commerce.

Prasad holds a Master’s degree in Economics and has held various key positions throughout his career, including Principal Secretary of the Finance Department and Secretary of the Administrative Reforms Department.

His appointment as Chief Secretary comes at a crucial time for Andhra Pradesh, as the state faces challenges related to revenue generation, infrastructure development, and economic recovery. Prasad is known for his administrative acumen and is expected to steer the state through these challenges.

The Andhra Pradesh government has also announced other key appointments, including:

K.S. Jawahar Reddy as Principal Secretary of the Chief Minister’s Office
J. Sai Krishna as Principal Secretary of the Water Resources Department
G. Sai Prasad as Principal Secretary of the Industries and Commerce Department
