No Change of Guard Ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan on June 8, 15 & 22

Hindustan Times

The Rashtrapati Bhavan, the official residence of the President of India, will not host its iconic Change of Guard ceremony on June 8, 15, and 22.

According to the President’s Secretariat, the decision was taken in light of ongoing monsoon maintenance work at the majestic palace. The maintenance work is necessary to ensure the safety of visitors and the preservation of the historic building.

The Change of Guard ceremony is a popular tourist attraction that showcases the precision and grandeur of the Indian military. The ceremony typically takes place every Saturday at 10:30 am, where the President’s Bodyguard and the Central Band of the Indian Army showcase their ceremonial drills.

Visitors who had planned to attend the Change of Guard ceremony on these dates are advised to make alternative arrangements. The suspension of the ceremony is temporary, and it will resume once the maintenance work is completed.

The President’s Secretariat apologizes for any inconvenience caused and requests the understanding of the public.
