“Kish was a tough opponent,” said Tomar. “She’s very experienced and has great wrestling. I tried to stay on my feet, but she was too good at taking me down.”

Tomar also acknowledged the pressure she felt as the first Indian woman to compete in the UFC. “It was a lot of responsibility on my shoulders,” she said. “I wanted to represent my country well.”

Aspirations

Despite the loss, Tomar remained positive and vowed to learn from the experience. “This was a great opportunity for me,” she said. “I’m going to go back to the gym, work on my wrestling, and come back stronger.”

Tomar expressed her desire to return to the Octagon as soon as possible. “I want to get back in there and prove that I belong here,” she said. “I’m not giving up on my dream of becoming a UFC champion.”
