Pune Porsche Case: Teen’s Father, Grandfather Booked in Suicide Abetment Case

Pune Police have booked the father and grandfather of a 19-year-old teenager, Tushar Doshi, who allegedly committed suicide by jumping off the 11th floor of a building in Pune’s upscale Koregaon Park area on Monday, May 30, 2022.

The teenager’s father, Ramesh Doshi, and grandfather, Ravindra Doshi, have been charged with abetment to suicide under Section 306 of the Indian Penal Code.

According to the police, Tushar Doshi was depressed due to financial problems and had been undergoing treatment for the past few months. He had also been facing pressure from his family members regarding his education and career.

On the day of the incident, Tushar Doshi had reportedly left a suicide note in his room, which stated that he was “tired of living” and that he blamed his father and grandfather for his “miserable life”.

The police have seized Tushar Doshi’s suicide note and are investigating the case. They are also questioning his family members and friends to ascertain the exact circumstances leading up to his suicide.

The Pune Porsche case highlights the importance of mental health and the need for support for those who are struggling with depression and other mental health issues. It also raises concerns about the pressure that is often placed on young people to achieve academic and professional success.
