Senior IAS Officer Neerabh Kumar Prasad Appointed as New Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary
Hyderabad: Senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Neerabh Kumar Prasad has been appointed as the new Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh. He succeeds Sameer Sharma, who retired on Thursday.
Prasad, a 1987-batch IAS officer of the Andhra Pradesh cadre, has held various key positions during his illustrious career. He has served as Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Principal Secretary (Finance), and Principal Secretary (Industries and Commerce).
The appointment of Prasad as Chief Secretary was made by the Andhra Pradesh government on Thursday evening. Prasad is known for his administrative acumen and dedication to public service. He has been instrumental in implementing several major infrastructure and development projects in the state.
In his new role, Prasad will be responsible for overseeing the overall administration of the state and implementing the government’s policies and programs. He will also play a crucial role in coordinating with various departments and agencies to ensure the efficient functioning of the state government.
The appointment of Prasad has been welcomed by Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, who expressed confidence in his abilities.
