TDP MPs, Union Ministers to Take Oath Alongside Modi

New Delhi, May 26: Two Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MPs and several Union ministers are set to take oath as part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s cabinet expansion on Thursday.

TDP MPs Kesineni Srinivas (Vijayawada) and Galla Jayadev ( Guntur) will join the Union Council of Ministers, representing the TDP’s support for the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government.

The list of Union Ministers to be sworn in includes:

Gajendra Singh Shekhawat (JAL SHAKTI)
Jyotiraditya Scindia ( Civil Aviation)
Sarbananda Sonowal (Ayush)
Bhupender Yadav (Environment)
Anurag Thakur ( Information and Broadcasting)
General V.K. Singh (MOs, Civil Aviation)
Pashupati Paras (MOs, Food and Consumer Affairs)
Bhagwant Mann (MOs, culture and Tourism)
Meenakshi Lekhi (MOs, External Affairs)
John Barla (MOs, Tribal Affairs)
Devusinh Chauhan (MOs, Communication)
Rajkumar Ranjan Singh (MOs, Education)

The oath ceremony will take place at the Rashtrapati Bhavan at 6 pm. Prime Minister Modi will administer the oath of office and secrecy to the new ministers.

The induction of TDP MPs into the cabinet is seen as a move to strengthen the BJP’s alliance with the TDP in Andhra Pradesh. The TDP is a key ally of the BJP at the national level, and its support is crucial for the NDA’s majority in the Lok Sabha.
