Indian batting legend Virat Kohli endured a disappointing start to the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, scoring a golden duck against arch-rivals Pakistan in their opening match.

Kohli was dismissed on the fifth ball of India’s innings, caught behind off the bowling of young Pakistani pacer Haris Rauf. It was the 34-year-old’s first-ever golden duck in a T20 World Cup.

Captain Rohit Sharma provided some solace for Indian fans with a scintillating knock of 83 runs, which included seven fours and three sixes. However, India fell short of Pakistan’s total of 159/8, losing the match by four wickets.
