“World Champions Played Like World Champions”: Sikandar Raza Hails Team India’s Dominance in 2nd T20I

India’s dominance over Zimbabwe continued in the second T20I, securing a comfortable 10-wicket victory. The win extends their lead in the three-match series to 2-0, putting them on the verge of a clean sweep. While Zimbabwe fought hard, they ultimately fell short against the might of the reigning T20 World Cup champions.

“They played like world champions,” said Zimbabwe all-rounder Sikandar Raza, acknowledging India’s superior performance. “They were too good for us today. They bowled well, fielded brilliantly, and batted superbly. There were no weaknesses in their game.”

India’s bowlers set the tone early on, restricting Zimbabwe to a paltry 115/6. Hardik Pandya, once again, led the charge with a fantastic spell of 3/20, while Axar Patel chipped in with 2/22. Zimbabwe’s batting struggled against India’s disciplined bowling, failing to build any substantial partnerships.

The chase was a mere formality for India. KL Rahul and Shubman Gill, opening the innings, put on an unbeaten 118-run stand to seal the victory. Rahul (67*) and Gill (54*) showcased their class and efficiency, ensuring a comfortable win for India.

This victory highlights the incredible depth and talent within the Indian team. They are proving to be a formidable force in the T20 format, with their world-class bowlers and batsmen continuing to impress.

“It’s great to see the team performing so well,” said India captain Hardik Pandya. “We are looking to carry this momentum forward and finish the series strong.”

With the third and final T20I scheduled for July 18th, India will be aiming to complete a clean sweep. Zimbabwe, despite their struggles, will be looking to salvage some pride and end the series on a positive note.
