“You Never Learn Anything”: Ex-Pakistan Captain Slams Haris Rauf after Team’s Embarrassing Loss to US

Former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram has criticized fast bowler Haris Rauf for his performance in the team’s embarrassing loss to the United States in the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifiers.

After the match, Akram said, “You never learn anything. You never bowl to your potential. You don’t put your heart in the game. You just go through the motions.”

Rauf, who has been one of Pakistan’s best bowlers in recent months, had an off day against the US. He conceded 72 runs in his 10 overs and failed to pick up a wicket.

Akram believes that Rauf needs to take responsibility for his performance. “He needs to look at his own performance and ask himself if he is doing enough,” said Akram.

“He has the talent to be a world-class bowler, but he needs to work on his consistency. He needs to bowl to his potential more often.”

Pakistan’s loss to the US was their second defeat in the tournament, after they were also beaten by Hong Kong in their opening match.

The team now needs to win their remaining two matches, against Oman and Papua New Guinea, in order to qualify for the Super Six stage of the tournament.
